DESCRIPTION:The Kenya Association of Women Surgeons (KAWS) Health & Wellness Day 2025\, held on 13th September at the Nairobi Arboretum\, gathered consultants\, surgical residents\, and medical students for a day of mindfulness\, movement\, and connection. Activities included stretching\, Zumba\, a wellness walk\, and a candid sharing circle where participants reflected on their journeys and the challenges in surgery. A yoga session under the trees further encouraged reflection and balance\, while the collective wearing of “Scalpels & Sass” T-shirts highlighted unity and the spirit of sisterhood at the heart of KAWS. \nParticipants described the event as inspiring and restorative\, with many appreciating the networking and mentorship opportunities alongside the physical activities. The day concluded with refreshments\, sponsor acknowledgments\, and remarks from surgical leaders\, leaving attendees recharged and motivated. KAWS expressed gratitude to its partners and supporters\, noting that the event reinforced the importance of holistic wellness in surgery—nurturing not only technical skill but also mental\, physical\, and community well-being. \nKAWS Members \n \nThe meeting was graced by the presence of the SSK President.
